We finally managed to do it. Our own little Easter egg hunt for our kids. I’ve been eagerly looking forward t it. Mostly because I crafted some giant Easter eggs for both Oliver and Elli but also because I like watching my kids having fun We actually ende up having the hunt on the following Monday from Easter Sunday as it had been raining and Oliver was poorly and we didn’t want to have the hunt indoors.
So, on Monday Arian had the task of hiding all of the eggs whilst I took the kids for a short walk. As soon as I got a text calling us back we hurried home. Adrian was ready with the Easter baskets and Oliver immediately took off collecting eggs. Elli, on the other hand, was much more passive about the whole process. She found one egg and proceeded to sit on the porch and eat it. I liked her approach.
Oliver did manage to find the giant eggs as well – with heavy help from his dad! And as I watched him rip into it my first thought was: noooooo, all the hours of work I spent on them But then I saw his face, and the joy and amazement and it was just worth it. His reaction is precisely the reason why I do like doing these things for my kids 🙂 Pure joy!
My Mother-in-law also brought myself and Adrian an egg though I think I’ll leave mine for Adrian to munch on. Have you seen the Easter eggs in England….they’re massive! Absolutely crazy- big ! And we’ve got four large chocolate eggs and two baskets worth of little ones at home – yeah, so maybe I didn’t quite think it through!
After a wonderful dinner, that Adrian dialled for heheeee, I had the pleasure of cleaning up the egg wrappers woohooo! I was afraid the kids were going to be too hyped up on all the sugar but I need not to have been worried. The little angels fell asleep right away- only to proceed waking up on and off for the rest of the night oh well!
In the spirit of Easter and Spring I’d like to introduce my very first Giveaway I’ll be hosting on my blog. I’m an avid comper myself so I’m really excited to give it a bit of a go myself.
